  • When I started shipping them
    My first introduction to the show was not in a chronological order; I just watched whichever episode was on television because it was just so funny. A few years back, I decided to rewatch all the episodes in chronological order and started REALLY shipping them. I don’t think there was ever a starting point. It was just kind of a circular logic - I loved them, so I watched their scenes in the context of my love for them and their love for each other, and the more I watched, the more I loved them. Even in the first few seasons, I loved their dynamic. They had so much chemistry and were always there for each other. Remember when Chandler told Monica she’s the most beautiful woman he knows? Ahhhhh, Ambre. THESE TWO. 

  • My thoughts
    They are my all-time favourite ship, ok! They don’t save each other’s lives physically like in detective shows, and they don’t keep missing each other, like in frustrating but emotionally satisfying shows. They’re just such an ordinary couple with extraordinary love for each other. I love that they started out as friends, and I love that they make each other so much better, and make each other want to be better, and I love that they accept each other for their flaws. I want to be like them.

  • What makes me happy about them
    Oh gosh, just watching them happy with each other makes me happy. They’re just so enjoyable. They’re so DIFFERENT, but they complement each other so well. I think what makes me THE HAPPIEST is CHANDLER’S GROWTH. My all-time favourite scene of Chandler is when he’s talking to Erica about Monica already being a mother and how much he loves her. And omg, the GROWTH in his character. From being irrationally terrified of commitment, he really became such a wonderful and sweet husband and father. I feel like his love for Monica really helped him become more of an adult, you know. The growth is not so obvious on Monica’s part, but it’s so amazing that she found someone who accepts her for who she is and whom she can have fun with at the same time.

  • What makes me sad about them
    I was very sad when they couldn’t have their own kid, but this is really no obstacle in their lives. But, actually, nothing. This ship is THE BEST. 

  • Fanfic-related questions
    Ahhh, I don’t need to read Friends fics; there are so many episodes LOL. Gosh, this show is the light of my life.

  • Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other
    Tbh, maybe Kathy for Chandler and Richard for Monica. Because I ship my favourite characters and happiness. 

  • My happily ever after for them
    Gosh, the great thing about this ship is that they ALREADY HAVE A HAPPILY EVER AFTER. I see them in the suburbs like they always wanted, with Chandler being the favourite dad who fools around with his kids and Monica baking a ton of stuff for them. They’ll be bickering about who spoils the kids more, but they will make sure the kids are super loved, especially because neither of their childhoods were particularly happy.

  • Who is the big spoon/little spoon
    Big spoon is Monica HAHA. 

  • What is their favourite non-sexual activity
    Being with their kids, CLEANING TOGETHER just because he knows she loves it, watching bad television.
